   I did it on my final try on clomid but it didn’t work. I had 2 mature follicles on the ultrasound so I got the shot but I still didn’t release the eggs. The shot burned but it wasn’t all that painful. You can either have your husband do give it to you after the Dr gives the ok or just have one of the nurses or the Dr do it once they confirm it is time.

   I didnt do that with Clomid – Clomid didnt work for me so we went on to IVF and it is one of the many shots you give yourself in IVF – the needles dont really hurt – you use an insulin syringe and they can barely be felt if at all so dont worry about it – the Puregon that you use with IVF is a pen that also has a small thin needle and they also dont hurt but one injection will be like nothing – if your nervous get someone else to do it for you – personally I didnt trust anyone to do it without hurting me so I did it myself and they are just fine

   I have tried doing the exact same thing twice and am going to do it a third time… my dr. says it normally takes 3-4 times to work… the shot just feels like any other shot in the butt.
