Clomid treatment followed by hcg shot 3 days later and then another hcg (5000 i u) 3 days after the first. Not being monitored by RE just GP. Very confused as to what this will achieve and when we should bd.

My first cycle of FSH injectible meds (Gonal F) I had to do 2 HCG shots but I did them on the same day. This was because I needed an extra boost to ovulate and to make sure my progesterone levels were high enough. HCG shots finish maturing the follicles causing them to rupture. So maybe you need some extra help with this. It is a normal thing. You should bd every other day starting 12 hours or so after your first shot. You may want to look into seeing an RE. They are more accurate and specialize in this daily. Best wishes!!!
